Good article, bad headline - There They Go Again

Last month the New York Daily News called CIDNY for an article on people having difficulty getting and maintaining durable medical equipment. While we talked to the reporter about how people like to be referred to and people first language, the message didn't get through to the headline writer. CIDNY did contact the reporter after the article appeared and asked her to pass on our objections to the term "wheelchair bound," but it's a constant battle to help the media understand why that language is so offensive.

Send us your best and worst headlines/articles for CIDNY's first "There They Go Again Award."
